“Stein Making is all about Dedication”

My earliest experience with beer stein painting was my apprenticeship with the ceramic compamy Gerz in 1969, since then I have painted beer steins for various major beer stein companies including Gilles & Sohn, Thewalt, Girmscheid, Zöller & Born and Würfel & Müller (recently known as King-Werk).
Starting year 2002, I manage my own ceramic paintshop that specializes in the paintwork of Westerwald produced beer steins.
Due to the fact of my unique location in the middle of the "Kannenbäckerland" and my neighborhood relationship to the beer stein companies. It was just a matter of time till the opening of a webshop specializing in Westerwald beer steins would become a reality. In 2005 the platform “Stein-Man” was finally constructed and gained access to the world wide web.
The strict dedication only to list stoneware from the "Kannenbäckerland" region - has gained Stein-Man webshop a reputation under the beer stein collectors. Customers from all over Europe, USA, Canada and Australia make use of the webshop listings to make additions to their collections. Every beer stein listed in the Stein-Man webshop is handmade from local materials and is garanteed to be 100% German.
Stein-Man is not a beer stein stockist, but I do have direct access to the stocks of each listed stein maker, I can obtain and furhermore order production of any stoneware article that is still available in this famous German ceramic production region.
“I would like to thank all the listed stein-makers for keeping up their dedicated production of original German beer steins, their deep service to tradition makes sure that this unique German handicraft will survive for the coming future”.
