Merkelbach Art Nouveau Stein Pitcher, reissue from a design from Paul Wynand 1910, model number 3341, salt glazed, solid pewter lid.

Paul Wynand provided numerous drafts for Westerwald beer steins, firstly, and especially for Simon Peter Gerz, he was a member of the Münchner artists' association, who fused later with Reinhold Merkelbach and Reinhold Hanke in 1911-12 to the „Vereinigten Steinzeugwerke“ (“incorporated stoneware factories”). In 1905 he was appointed as a teacher at the Royal College in Hoehr.
