Gerz Altenburg Tankard

The Gerz Altenburg Tankard is a handmade replica of a 18th century Altenburg original, this light beige cylinder tankard is decorated with rows of rhombs, or diamonds, formed with white, round rosettes. Relief designs in the image of leaves and flowers grace the center section. Each detail of the relief design is created by hand, dyed, and positioned piece-by-piece on the tankard body. The finished piece is then carefully colored, glazed, and fired for durability. Heavy solid pewter attachments adorn the tankard top and bottom, limited edition 49/5000, certificate, 25cm high at thumbrest, mint condition, a very unique example of a historical German beer tankard for the serious beer stein collector, only one available and subject to prior sale.
