King Limitaet 2010 Handpainted Beer Stein, 3 liter,massive pewter facon lid. This outstanding Limited Edition Stein is based on an historic original currently in the archives of King-Werk Germany. Sculptured by a Westerwald stein designer (possibily Peter Duemler) around the year 1890, this magnificent stein features the famous scene "Siegfried's Return" taken from the German legend of the Nibelungen. This legend based on historic events in the 5th and 6th century AD tells of the dragon slayer Siegfried. The stein shows his return from Iceland, handing over the Bridal Cup to Kriemhild. The scene is supervised by King Gunther of Burgundy, who promised Siegfried his sister Kriemhild as wife, if he aids to win Brunhild, princess of Iceland for himself. The finely detailed scenes are handsculptured in a dramatic raised relief. This is the eleventh in King Limitaet series of Limited edition steins and has a strict limitation of only 2,500 bodies worldwide, shipped with certificate, massive pewter facon lid..
